Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
- We collect what we need to run Decorly: your sign-in details, the photos you upload, the designs you make and what you save.
- We measure how the app is used with Amplitude, AppsFlyer and Meta, and we take payments through Apple, Google, Stripe and Adapty. None of them get your photos.
- Your photos are sent to the AI and search services that create designs and find products, and to no one else.
- We don't sell your information, we don't use it for targeted ads, and we don't train AI models on your photos.
- You can delete your account, and everything in it, from the app at any time: see Delete your account.
1. Who we are
Decorly is operated by Decorly LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Decorly", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Decorly website, the Decorly apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, and related services (the "Service"). Questions go to support@decorly.ai.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and, if you choose a password, that password stored as a hash we can't reverse. When you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, that provider shares your name, email address and, where available, profile picture with us (Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one). You can also add a display name and choose a role (for example homeowner or real estate agent).
- Photos you upload: pictures of your rooms or outdoor spaces. Photos can contain information you didn't intend to share, such as people, documents or the view outside a window, so please check them before uploading.
- What you ask for: the room type, style, color palette and other choices you make, text instructions you type (such as "make the sofa green velvet"), and the areas you paint with the brush.
- Messages: what you send us when you contact support or give feedback.
Information created as you use Decorly
- Designs: the images the Service creates for you, and our description of the room (for example which items it detected and where).
- Saved items: designs you keep, and the products you add to your favorites, with their links.
- Credits and plan: your credit balance, how credits were used, and your subscription status.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like most online services, our hosting and infrastructure providers record your IP address, browser or device type, operating system, the pages and features requested, and the date and time, in server logs used for security and reliability.
- Usage analytics: which screens you open and which features you use (for example that a design was created, a plan was chosen, or a purchase started), with your account id, device type, app version, country and rough location from your IP address. We use Amplitude for this on the website and in the apps. We don't record what is in your photos or designs.
- Install attribution (apps only): which ad or link brought you to the app, through AppsFlyer, and sign-ups and purchases reported to Meta so we can measure our ads. On iPhone and iPad this uses your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when iOS asks; if you don't, these tools work without it. On the website, Meta's pixel records page views and sign-ups; blocking it in your browser doesn't affect Decorly.
- On your device: the website and apps store your sign-in session and a few preferences (for example settings you picked) in your browser's local storage or your device's app storage, so you stay signed in. Apart from the Meta pixel above, we don't use advertising cookies.
Payments
If you subscribe in the iPhone, iPad or Android app, Apple or Google handles the payment, and Adapty, the service that manages our in-app subscriptions, tells us what we need to give you access: your plan, its status and the purchase history. If you subscribe on the website, Stripe handles your card details and the subscription. We never receive or store your full card number.
We don't knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric or financial account data). We don't use your photos to identify people.
3. How we use it
- To provide the Service: sign you in, create designs and edits, detect items in your photos, find similar products, and keep your designs, favorites and credits.
- To run plans and credits, and to process subscriptions through the app stores or our payment provider.
- To keep the Service safe: prevent fraud, abuse of free credits and misuse, and fix errors.
- To improve the Service: understand which features work and fix what doesn't. When we review results to improve quality, we use as little personal information as possible.
- To communicate with you: reply to your messages and send important notices about your account or these policies. We'll only send marketing emails if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
What we don't do: we don't sell your personal information, we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use your photos or designs to train our own AI models.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Decorly, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing their service to us, and in the other cases listed below.
| Provider | What they do for Decorly | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting for the website, our servers, the database of accounts and the storage of photos and designs (Germany, EU) | Account details, photos, designs, saved items, credits, and technical data and requests passing through the Service |
| fal.ai | Runs the AI models that create designs, read your room and detect items in photos and designs, including models from Google (Gemini) and other model makers | Your photo, design images and cropped parts of them, your choices and instructions |
| SerpApi | Searches Google Shopping and Google Lens for similar products | Short text descriptions of items and cropped parts of a design image |
| wsrv.nl (images.weserv.nl) | Crops and resizes design images for the product search | The design image address and the area to crop |
| Google, Apple, Meta (Facebook) | Signing in with your Google, Apple or Facebook account, if you choose it | The provider shares your name, email and picture with us; Apple receives a note when the account is deleted |
| Apple App Store, Google Play, Adapty | Processing subscriptions in the apps and keeping their status | Purchase and subscription details, your account id, and the ids Adapty uses to match a purchase to your device |
| Stripe | Processing subscriptions on the website | Your card details (entered into Stripe's own form), email, and purchase and subscription details |
| Amplitude | Product analytics: which features are used and how often | Your account id, the events listed above, device and app details, country, and a rough location from your IP address |
| AppsFlyer | Install attribution for the apps: which ad or link led to an install | Your account id, device details, the advertising identifier if you allowed tracking, and sign-up and purchase events |
| Meta | Measuring our ads: sign-ups and purchases, in the apps and on the website | Sign-up, checkout and purchase events with a hashed email and account id, device details, and the advertising identifier if you allowed tracking |
| Amazon SES | Sending our emails: sign-in codes, receipts, account notices | Your email address and the message |
Stores. When you open a product, you leave Decorly for the store's website, and that store's privacy policy applies. If the link is an affiliate link, the store or an affiliate network may record the visit and any purchase so it can pay us a commission. We don't send stores your name, email or photos.
Other cases. We may share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, Decorly or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information. We may also share it with your consent.
5. How long we keep it
- Account, photos, designs and saved items: until you delete them or your account.
- Credit and purchase records: for as long as your account exists, and longer if needed for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
- Server logs: for a short time, usually no more than 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
- Analytics and attribution: Amplitude, AppsFlyer and Meta keep the events we send for the period set in each tool, at most a few years. Deleting your account unlinks them from it.
- Payment records: Stripe, Adapty and the app stores keep purchase records as long as payment and tax rules require.
- Search results: product searches are cached by their search terms and image fingerprints to speed up later searches. These caches don't include your name or account.
- AI providers: our AI and search providers process photos to return a result. They may keep request data for a limited time under their own terms; generated images are stored at short-lived links.
When you delete your account in the app (Account, then "Delete my account"), we delete your profile, photos, designs, saved items and credits. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days until those backups are overwritten. Delete your account has the steps, including how to ask by email.
6. Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your information in the app and delete your whole account there (how). You can also email support@decorly.ai to ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal information, including in a portable format;
- correct information that's wrong;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to certain uses of it;
- withdraw consent you gave, without affecting earlier use.
We'll reply within the time the law requires (usually 30 or 45 days) and may need to confirm your identity first. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. If we can't fully meet a request, we'll explain why.
United States residents
Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon or Florida), you may have the rights listed above under state privacy laws. We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, and we don't use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. You can use an authorized agent to make a request. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
If these laws apply, Decorly LLC is the controller of your personal information. We use it to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse and improving it, balanced against your rights), to meet legal obligations, and with your consent where required. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
Analytics and ads
On iPhone and iPad, iOS asks whether Decorly may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Saying no turns off the advertising identifier for AppsFlyer and Meta; the app works the same. You can change the answer in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On the website, a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection stops the Meta pixel without affecting Decorly. To opt out of Amplitude analytics, email us.
7. International transfers
Decorly is based in the United States, and our providers process information in the European Union, the United States and other countries. These countries may have different data protection laws from yours. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Security
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that let each account reach only its own data, and private storage for photos. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.
9. Children
Decorly is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and if a change is material we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
